Mohamed Osman is the Managing Director for Sofico for financial investments economical Egypt 1st Venture capitalist funds for SMEs and a member of the Egyptian Junior business association and The Club d'Affaires Franco-Egyptien CAFE. He is also a member and on the executive committee of the certified directors forum of Egypt.
Having obtained his B.A. in Mechanical Engineering and business administration from The American Universityin Cairo, Osman also holds two certifications, one from Harvard Institute for International Development in Investment Appraisal, Project Finance & Risk Analysis, and the second from Institute for International Research in Mergers & Acquisitions. Finally, he is one of Egypt Certified Board of Directors by the Institute for Shareholders Service ISS of London.
Osman is a specialist in building start-up enterprises. His domain focus is on how to build a successful company starting by an entrepreneur with a good idea. He has a wide network of relation that enables him to find potential entrepreneurs and supports them in getting great deals for their start-ups. Engineer Osman uses his real life exposure with his academic experience through assuming a variety of board seats in the portfolio he manages. He is currently on the boards of the following companies: Touristic Investment company, Egyptian Garments company, Sofisport, Sofipet, PetroTubular, Bayanat, Amlak, ITS, Sectors, Smash Management, Sofiland and SmartComm. He is also a major shareholder in Sofico for financial investments. Through his professional experience as a Managing Director he was involved in more than 14 exits, 14 entries and 3 major turn rounds.
