Principal
He is an experienced Banker, who currently works as a Principal with the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD), specialising in its SMEs' Investments in Cairo, Egypt. Previously, he held posts with Huawei as its MEA Structured Finance Director, Co-founded an Investment & Advisory firm in Libya (OEA Capital), as well as working for HSBC in London as Senior Associate in its Investment Banking division. Also, he worked for USAID and Arab African International Bank in Cairo, Egypt.
He is a regular writer on topics of development and economics in Libya. Also, he have been previously featured in Financial Times and Bloomberg Business-week on articles related to Libya. He represented Libya in conferences such as: Economic Freedom in the Arab World organized by German Friedrich Naumann foundation and Canadian Fraser Institute, and The Global Entrepreneurship Week.
He have been selected amongst others by the IMF to attend their first conference addressing "Jobs, Growth and Fairness in the Arab world," in which there was a special focus on Arab Countries in Transition (ACT).
